I stopped by the House of Hotrods today to take pictures of the shiny new
headers that just came back from the ceramic coaters. The Coupe was in the
electrical shop getting her new wiring harness installed. When I walked in
and introduced myself to the mechanics doing the wiring they gave me a funny
look and asked if I was the one who installed the wiring that they were
removing. I informed them that I bought the car that way and they breathed
a sigh of relief and proceeded to tell me how horrible the wiring job was and
that they were surprised the car hadn't burned up yet. I feel confident
that the money spent on the new wiring harness was money well spent. As
soon as the harness is complete, the new steering column will be installed and
plugged into the new harness. I only have a few minor items to be
completed by the shop after the column is in and I'll have the "Rod" back on the
road - I can't wait.

Pretty headers. A ceramic coated glass pack muffler slips over the end and
adds about 3 feet to the total length.
The exhaust will exit just at the rear seam of the door.

This is the co-pilots exhaust.

Different angle of the engine bay.

All the gauges have been removed as part of the new wiring harness installation.
Check out the main wiring bundle to the left.
The radio is coming out and I'm having the shop fill the empty hole with a small
glove compartment.
That's a B&M ratchet shifter attached to the C4 tranny. I'm looking for a
cool skull to replace the T-handle.

This is the wooden frame that the bench seat cushions lay on.

I remembered to take pictures of the new adjustable coil over suspension when I
was at the shop this time (more shiny hotrod bling).

Nice front shot of the coupe. This is an original '31 radiator grill.
You can see the wiring bundle draped over the pilots door. That's a Good
Guys sticker on the windshield.

Brand new rack and pinion steering rack that I installed during the suspension
overhaul.

I love the hand painted pin striped flames all over the car.
