The Bombers Descend Upon Redbird

After getting caught in the rain yesterday with "Big Bertha" the 4,000sq ft jumbo banner, me and my wingman for today's mission decided to scrub todays flight (winds over 30kts and rain showers everywhere).  We unrolled yesterdays banner that was still soaking wet and let it flop around in the gale force winds for about 10 minutes and viola, it was dry.  Rolled her back up and she's ready to be flown again tomorrow.

Anyways, now for the rest of the story........Little did we know that the Collings foundation B-24 and B-17 were in town and had arranged to fill up at Redbird before their trip to New Mexico.  All I had with me to document this was my new Motorola MPx220 cell phone with a built in camera.  I took still pics, recorded audio snippets and shot video footage.  The audio sucks because of the 30kt winds but take a look at the pics I took below.  Not too bad for a 1.2 MP camera on a phone.
