I flew my last banner in December of 2005.  Too much work and risk for too little reward.  It was fun for about 8 months, then it just got old.  I kept thinking about where I was going to land off-field when I lost an engine with a 4,000 square foot sign behind me doing 60mph.  Off the top of my head, while logging my 300+ hours of banner towing time, I lost 2 magneto's, 1 jug, 1 cracked case, 1 radio, 1 transponder and 1 alternator.  I made it back to RBD each and every time.  I have the feeling that if I kept it up much longer that my luck would run out.  It's time for me to explore other exciting opportunities.

Stay tuned.......

Hugh
